Box (frameless) cabinetry, also known sometimes as European-style cabinets, means that cabinet doors and drawers do not have a face frame, the pieces of wood that front the inside of the cabinet or drawer when open. Whether your style is traditional, modern, or somewhere in between, a box cabinet certainly creates a clean and polished look. |

Door and drawers fit flush with the cabinet, opening straight out from the side rather than off of the face frame with a normal hinge. This construction method means doors and drawers almost completely cover the edge of the cabinet or drawer box. Door measurements are based on the cabinet box rather than the frame.
Box cabinetry uses special hinges that mount on the cabinet door directly and to the inside wall of the box. The hinges provide the strength and support to keep the doors from sagging, much the way the face frame does for other cabinets. Without the front frame, it provides an unobstructed access to the cabinet interior, giving the kitchen cabinets a sleek and smooth appearance, perfect for modern, contemporary home design.
Our custom built boxes are made using our top of the line equipment to ensure that all sizes and measurements are accurate and consistent. All of our cabinets are constructed using wood dowels, glue, screws, nails or staples to ensure every joint is perfect. This is the strongest building technique which results in a cabinet that outlasts its design era.
Using state of the art CNC machines, and routers, we offer three cabinet construction materials to fit everyone’s budget and lifestyle.
- Economical grade is made with a white melamine which has a bright clean look and is easy to maintain.
- Midrange grade is constructed with maple melamine. It is the same as the basic cabinet but the melamine has the look of natural maple. This is a great choice with dark cabinet doors as it lessens the stark contrast between the door and cabinet interior colour.
- Highest grade uses all plywood with a varnished maple veneer finish. It is the strongest of all kitchen cabinet boxes, giving it natural warmth and is a beautiful option when paired with our Dovetail drawers
Drawer construction is also available in three options to suit your specific requirements:

The standard drawer is a "metal" framed drawer box with a full 5/8" thick base to carry the weight. |

Our midrange drawer has full-extension drawer tracks that ride on silent running ball bearings. They offer more stability and strength for heavier items. These drawers are available with a soft close feature. |

The top of the line drawer box is a Dovetail maple drawer. This drawer is constructed out of solid maple and has dovetail joints on the four corners. It has three finishing coats versus the conventional two coats and the Soft Close tracks are concealed beneath the drawer so all you see is the beautiful solid wood. We are currently offering these drawers for the same price as the Level Two drawers. |
