CRS Granite exclusive 3/8" thick light weight natural granite slabs, allows us to make a cap that fits over an existing countertop, instead of tearing out and replacing it with laminate, or other solid surfaces. For people who are looking for more colour consistency and less shine, we offer a 1/2" thick over-lay in Quartz as well.

 

Imported from Italy, our granite slabs come with a special woven fiberglass backing, which makes it 7 to 10 times stronger than thicker granite slabs weighing 22 lbs per square foot. By cutting the slabs thinner, we have significantly reduced the weight of our granite to 4 lbs per square foot, with the added benefit of flex properties, to reduce the risk of the countertop cracking as cabinetry and floors expand and contract over time.
